EvanMosaics was first commissioned by Mayor Daley and the Chicago Transit Authority to create a large scale mosaic installation for The White Sox Park Redline line entrance in time for the All Star Game in 2003. With completion of the approx. 400 square foot hand cut granite mosaic and warm reception by Chicago White Sox fans and Chicago transit riders, evan mosaics was further commissioned to design and produce 26 custom waterjet and handcut granite and stainless steel medallions for various stops on the Douglas Blue Line.
