The Kamehachi Restaurant mosaic served as an identity for Kamehachi’s flagship Old Town Chicago location for over two decades. A popular destination for diners, the mosaic sushi bar triptyche mural was salvaged upon the retaurant’s closing, and reinstalled in a private residence.

We created a three panel interpretation of Katsushika Hokusai’s “The Great Wave off Kanagawa”.  This created a true focal point that guests could enjoy and the restaurant owners and staff were proud to have displayed. It featured several types of mosaic tessarae including, art ceramic, venetian glass, onyx, mirror, and specialty hand glazed tile.
